The barbecue area is covered and equipped with tables, benches and plenty of firewood. After a gentle hike on Urmiberg or crossing the more challenging Rigi Hochflue, it’s a great place to relax and enjoy the view.
The barbecue area can be accessed via the Urmiberg aerial cable car from Brunnen. The Gruebi is about a 20-minute walk from the top station. From the Gätterli Pass on the other side, the walk is around 40 minutes.
