Rock climbing enthusiasts looking for sky-high thrills with magnificent views are spoilt for choice in the region around Gersau. There are five rock climbing areas above Gersau and even a few multi-pitch climbs in Theddys Gärtli on the Rigi Hochflue. The climbing areas feature ascents with different levels of difficulty, so they’re suitable for rock climbers of varying abilities. Some of the rock walls are south-facing and can therefore also be climbed in winter, depending on the weather.
Area Föhnenberg/Oberholz
If you wish to climb in the Föhnenberg/Oberholz area, you need to register in advance with the landowner.
