Welcome to this magnificent house. A place where history and cuisine meet.

In this historic house, the Engel team wants to delight you with seasonal and regional cuisine and unite your senses with a wide selection of wines. It is meant to be a culmination of seeing, smelling and tasting: experiencing a heavenly encounter.

Goethestube

On the first floor are the two festive restaurants with old field parquet. The Goethestube, which was created in 1907 by merging two rooms dating back to 1552, is adorned with a late-Gothic beamed ceiling and a coffer ceiling from the 17th century. The wall coverings are in Biedermeier style. The comfortable restaurant has room for 80 people. Just the thing for a small-scale celebration.

Tagsatzung (parliament) room

The old room transports you back to the last century. The room provides space for approx. 28 people. Perfect for small groups, parties or other occasions. The Tagsatzung room, built in 1405 with two splendid room doors, boasts superb renaissance panelling which was skilfully reworked in 1907.

Engel bar

The Engel bar is at ground level with panelling in neo-renaissance forms. A meeting place for exciting encounters and interesting discussions.
